I went on to graduate from San Jose State University, with a B.A. Later, in high school, I attended the Saturday, and summer life drawing, and painting classes, at The California College of Arts and Crafts, Oakland CA. While a young student, I took classes at the Richmond Art Center. As a 4th generation native, I was lucky to have grandparents, and extended family, close by, who encouraged art education.
